About Us

Our Story
PoolTrac is the brainchild of John Pyle and Justin Olson. In 2008, John Pyle launched his own residential and commercial pool management company.
Justin Olson, the owner of an IT consulting firm, provided technical support and system setup for John’s business. Long-time friends, they quickly saw the opportunity to combine their expertise and create a platform that brought together the best of both industries.
Initially designed for record keeping and data collection — specifically for documenting chemicals and pool services — PoolTrac started in its simplest form. But as development continued, it became clear the system could do much more.
Years of testing, refinement, and growth brought the product to market. Justin developed native iOS and Android apps, expanding PoolTrac into the full-featured platform it is today. The rest, as they say, is history.
